Infinite Artistic Movement is a company with a vision to provide an infinite array of movement services that enhances our communities and moves our world.
Founder & Executive Director
The face and inspiration behind Infinite Artistic Movement is Malaika Tate-Scott, a Company Director & Dance Instructor in the Metropolitan area.
A native Washingtonian, Malaika Tate-Scott, is a Dancer, Teacher, and Choreographer, with a B.A. of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Maryland, and fourteen years of teaching and directing experience combined.
Her teaching credentials include teaching for Joy of Motion Dance Center, The Kennedy Center, and creating a dance program for the Boys & Girls Club of America.
She has also directed and performed with local Hip-Hop Dance Companies, performing locally at the Historical Howard Theater and internationally in Canada.
As a Youth Company Director for the H.Y.P.E. Programs, accepting two invitations to perform at the White House, as well as many other notable Washington events.
In her beginning years as an entrepreneur, Mrs. Tate-Scott produced and directed a Hip-Hop Dance Showcase at the local THEARC Theater as well as the Gen-X Hip-Hop
X-plosion Dance Showcase in Kansas.
Malaika has also traveled abroad and taught Hip-Hop dance in Ghana, West Africa and Sydney, Australia.
It is her vision to continue to share her love of movement locally and globally. Her life's motto lies in the quotes; "There are infinite ways to move!" & "Teach only Love, for that is what you are!"
